Taking it to back to Brazil

>> A couple of weeks back Declan McKenna played at the Montage Music Hall in Rochester. It was very rad to see two women in Declan's band! The guitarist, Isabel Torres, and the drummer, Gabi King.

Declan and his guitarist came out on stage wearing cardboard birthday hats to celebrate Isabel's birthday!

The crowd was filled with underage kids eager screaming very loudly eager to see Declan perform. I felt very out of place as one of the few people old enough to order a drink from the bar, alas I was excited to see this talented young man from the U.K. play some music!

Declan's voice and performance was better live than recorded in my opinion. There were a few problems with his guitar disconnecting but he laughed it off and figured out the issue eventually! What really made my day was Declan covering a Vampire Weekend song! He definitely did the song justice!

As he wrapped up his set with his hit-song, "Brazil" the crowd was in full force jumping, dancing, and singing along. Declan is truly a talented man and I cannot wait to see what he comes up with next! If you haven't had the chance to listen to his new album, "What Do You Think About The Car?", I highly suggest that you do so! You will be rockin' out to it, playing it on repeat like we have ever since we saw him perform! <<
