Today our favorite Echo Park pop badass, Party Nails, released her new song, “SO BROKE” alongside a video which was made for only $200! Battle Tapes, the kickass LA electronic duo, produced the new single. Party Nails and Battle Tapes did not disappoint with this sick electric dance jam that has a retro synthwave background that will bring you 70’s nostalgia. Her light voice has a gritty feel over the entrancing chords that launches you into a serene state of mind. Also, this song is so relatable and catchy; who isn’t SO DAMN BROKE?!
"Earlier in 2017 I had written a few songs about being broke and what it feels like, especially in today's status-obsessed world. But the songs all felt too sad. Then a few months ago Riley [of Battle Tapes] sent me an instrumental he had been working on, and I instantly loved it and wrote the whole song quickly. I felt nervous but excited to be talking so plainly about how I actually felt at the time, as opposed to an abstraction. Riley, Josh and I passed the song around a few times before finishing it up together. I'm really happy with the record. I love working with my babes Battle Tapes." - Party Nails
Party Nails continues to amaze us with her badass woman power. She is an artist you NEED to keep your eye on because she is up to some sick shit that’s going to be stuck on repeat in your head. We are anxiously waiting for her unnamed debut full-length album that she is working on. This year Alternative Press is including Party Nails in the “Female Artists to Know in 2018” round up!
Her nationwide tour with PVRIS and Lights ended a few months ago, and Getter just released his latest single, “Solo” that Party Nails wrote and sang which is absolutely killer. Her last release, an EP called “Come Again”, was placed in Spotify’s Fresh Finds Playlist, Spotify Charts Viral 50, Nike Running Tempo Playlist, and Victoria Secret Playlist.
Get stoked and jam to the new track below!
