>> K.Flay came back to play Town Ballroom after last performing at Key Bank Center with Grouplove and Imagine Dragons. Opening up for her was the English musician Yungblud. His set was crazy intense from beginning to end. He began by sprinting out on stage with a boombox and immediately jumping into his set. From there on out he was flying across the stage so fast you hardly knew where to look. Yungblud's sound can best be described as the love child of the Arctic Monkeys and the Beastie Boys. All in all, he did a great job opening, by the time he was finished the crowd was more than ready for K.Flay.
K.Flay met the crowd on a smoke-filled stage with 4 LED screens behind her. She always seems to attract a very diverse crowd of dedicated fans. Occasionally, she'd point her mic to the crowd and without fail the crowd would fill in the lyrics. Over the show, each song ranged from indie to rap to dubstep but all flowed together nicely. Halfway through she stopped to do a cover of Harvey Danger's "Flagpole Sitta" to the crowd's delight. By the end of the show, the whole crowd was jumping with their hands in the air. Before saying goodbye to Buffalo she came back for a two-song encore.
