Alternative Buffalo's Fifth Birthday Show!

>> This past Monday, October 1st, was Alternative Buffalo’s Fifth Birthday Bash! They celebrated turning five at Buffalo Riverworks where Flora Cash, Joywave, and The Neighbourhood performed!

Flora Cash, a husband and wife duo who met on Soundcloud, took to the stage first! This chill indie-folk band had a very eerie vibe on stage with lights shifting from heavy shades of red to blue to purple! They finished up with their hit song, “You’re Somebody Else” and the crowd went wild, singing along with all of the words!

Rochester locals, Joywave, hit the stage next! Their new song, “Blastoffff”, boomed out of the speakers! They took the time to give a special thanks to Alt Buffalo, as the radio station was one of the first to play their music! The band is headed off on another tour soon, this time with Sir Sly! Joywave ended their set with their hit song, “Tongues”, the crowd went absolutely crazy!

The Neighbourhood ended this spectacular night! The first few songs flowed perfectly into one another, without stopping. The bass was incredible and made me grateful for the invention of earplugs! Midway through their set, they played a new song, which the crowd seemed to enjoy! Of course, they had to play one of their biggest hits, “Sweater Weather”, because the crowd was eager to sing along!

This night full of incredible performances and fun wouldn’t have been possible without all the hard work from Alternative Buffalo, their sponsors, and Buffalo Riverworks! We are beyond thankful for this radio station! Here’s to another successful and music filled year! Now on to many many more! <<
