>> Brett Benowitz is a singer and songwriter who has many influences, funk, soul, blues, and rock! He has been playing music since he was very young and is back with a new single, "Make It Right". Brett shared some insight into the meaning behind his latest single, "Make it Right is about taking charge of your life. Instead of letting failures set you back, learn and grow from them then get back in the fight stronger than you were before. In this way, the downfalls become blessings necessary for your development. Nothing can be wrong when you make it right."
Brett Benowitz was born in Newport Beach California and grew up listening to his mom sing Patsy Cline and Bob Dylan on the piano, and his dad play The Doors and The Grateful Dead on the radio. He started singing and playing piano at age 7, and at 13 he picked up the guitar and began to write songs. Brett was drawn to funk, rock, soul, and blues, and when he was 20 he studied abroad in Israel where he performed his original songs in bars and clubs with his guitar duo band, Lechem V’Dagan (Bread and Grain). There he decided to make music his mission in life, and in 2010 he recorded his first self-titled album dedicated to the loving memory of his grandmother, Betty Benowitz. After graduating from The University of Georgia two years later, Brett moved to New York City. He played guitar and bass in the blues duo band, Sham, and recorded two albums, “Watch the House”, and “House the Watch”. In 2016 Brett went back to his solo ways and released his self produced EP "One" and toured through New York, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Texas performing in coffee shops, dive bars, churches, clubs, street corners, and saloons as a solo acoustic act. In 2017 Brett recorded his first studio LP “Burn To Glow”, a nine-song concept album recorded at Dubway Studios in NYC. Now Brett is releasing a brand new single titled, "Make It Right" that was recorded in Brooklyn with renowned producer Jonny Fung. It is the first single of many new collaborations that has elevated Brett's music to its greatest sound yet. <<
