Music Video Media Premiere: So Last Year - On My Way
July 31, 2019
>> Rochester indie rock band So Last Year has released a music video for their song “On My Way.” A year in the making, the video chronicles the life of a musician. Photographer and videographer Daniel Finkelstein captured band footage, following the journey from songwriting and recording process through performing live for audiences.
“This music video is a tribute to all musicians everywhere. The song is about the work that goes into being a musician, so we spent a year gather footage from nine locations to best represent the electricity, drudgery, sweat and joy that goes into practicing, recording, loading up, traveling, unloading and of course performing live.” - Logan Van Epps, So Last Year
Formed in Rochester, NY in 2013, So Last Year began as the solo project of Logan Van Epps and with the addition of some talented musicians has evolved into a rock-and-roll powerhouse. In the past five years, SLY has released two full-length albums, released two previous music videos, garnered a devout Upstate NY fanbase, and played 100+ shows across the Northeast, from Boston to Chicago to Philadelphia. So Last Year is known for its vibrant Indie Pop Rock sound, with a little bit of piano and a lot of soul. The current lineup includes founder/frontman Logan Van Epps, Jason Campbell (guitar), Tom Caster (guitar), and Mitch VanDenberg (drums).
