"Everyone steals from their surroundings, some take parts of its reality and humanity, others steal from the artifice - its cruelty and its satirical type of irony. In a world that is shifting into a fast digital environment filled with popular culture, I like to sit in the middle of this discomfort, between the real and the exaggerated. My work is an examination of popular culture and the modern political landscape in a caricature approach that tries to showcase the vulnerability of reality and almost trespasses on the lines of irony and mockery. As of late, I have been inspired by horror films and the hyperbole of the themes of horror, focusing on how huge these fears appear to the main individuals in the story."
