I like to think of my work as a ‘vibrant darkness’ that walks alongside me. I love a good narrative, the slightly odd and other-worldly experiences I allow myself to partake in. I aim for an interplay of color, light, texture and form - together, they work as a medium for translating and expressing the subjectivity of the individual, and that individual’s relationship to myself and the surrounding environment - a moment solidified in space and time.
While carefully planned, my images are precise without losing a sense of play and spontaneity.
Throwing something together in the name of art is undoubtedly one of my favorite things to do.
I am often excited by how people choose to express themselves. I reflect their energy into my work, observing what they choose to communicate with me. The photographs I take are a product of the profound and meaningful experience I create with them.
