Part craftsman, part entertainer and part teacher, my role as an artist is complex. I observe and question the environment around me, natural, built and cultural, then I create art that responds to what I have learned. Perhaps, it may also benefit someone else?
I use industrial materials and graphics as my media as they are approachable. Like mass produced objects, my pieces have clean lines and an economic use of resources.
The work must grab the viewer’s attention, make them smile, and finally change their perspective. These are big expectations to put on artwork but, I must be diligent.
