'1999' (Super Deluxe Edition) by Prince

'The 12” Synth' by Thee Oh Sees

Thee Oh Sees’ frontman Jon Dwyer released a 40-minute spiraling and spacey instrumental mini-synth album that has Dwyer experimenting with a lot of keyboards and synthesizers, recorded in two-jam sessions titled “Infinite Columns” and “Regards To The Monolith.” The dizzying and sometimes elevating ambience Dwyer brings on this one is beyond belief, especially for an artist who is always looking to experiment.

“The Way It Used to Be” by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross

After releasing the first two scores of the new HBO series “Watchmen,” Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross previewed Volume 3, out Dec. 16, with the track “The Way It Used to Be.” The track is much different than the heavier and sinister electronic sound the duo brought to the first two volumes. With the sensual big band swing style, it’s like something you would hear on the radio featured in “Fallout: New Vegas” or either of the first two “Bioshock” games. Nonetheless, this dreamland jazz style is still pretty impressive from the industrial-rock geniuses.

"My Name is Dark (Art Mix) by Grimes

We are FEELING the chaos as we listen to this dark grungy pop tune. Our alien queen has once again delivered and we are on the edge of our seats waiting for her next album!

"Take Me Apart" by SYML

Another beautiful ballad by the king of feels. The piano and vocals are the perfect combination, bringing tears to our eyes as we are ripped apart by the lyrics and composition.

"Everything Else Has Gone Wrong" by Bombay Bicycle Club

The music may sound upbeat but the video that accompanies this art is very moving and dark. The lead singer, Jack Steadman, lays on the ground being beaten, kicked, robbed, and ignored by the people around him while singing. There is a happy ending but we highly suggest you watch to find out! Listen to the song on Spotify HERE!
