Carefully crafted and masterfully executed, the song traverses across terrains of layered depth both musically and lyrically. Creating an inviting and alluring duality between its upbeat tempo, beautifully buyountant soundscape, and somber, more reflective lyrics, the listening experience that emerges when it all comes together is tastefully addictive and fulfilling.

"This song fits in that zone I love where it’s an upbeat sounding song with sad/introspective lyrics. Very excited for this to be the first taste of what people hear from the new album, I feel like this is one of the songs that helped us dial in where we wanted to head vibe wise"

- Francesco Figliomeni

The Newmarket four-piece creatives have been masters of their genre for over a decade, providing listeners with countless ingeniously crafty and snug tunes every step of the way. With three LPs under their belt and the fourth eagerly on the way, band members Matthew Sweeney, Travis Stokl, Francesco Figliomeni, and Feurd undertook multiple studios to record and gather their most recent assortment of songs. Showcasing an impressive portfolio, having played on the same stage with acts such as Born Ruffians, Metric, and Passion Pit, in addition to the fact that their body of work is self produced, speaks to the artistic talent, vision, and craftsmanship of these four songwriters. Brimming with varied and intricately devised sounds, The Elwins level of precision, inspirational insights from ‘70s AM-radio pop to mid-2000s alternative, and attention to detail is undeniably

present.

For the new single, bassist and singer Francesco shares that, “This song fits in that zone I love where it’s an upbeat sounding song with sad/introspective lyrics. Very excited for this to be the first taste of what people hear from the new album, I feel like this is one of the songs that helped us dial in where we wanted to head vibe wise.”
