>>Get ready to chill out, campers, because Floated is delivering another track for your Friday. This week, it’s Frida Sundemo with her tune “Gold”. So sit back, fire up the stereo, and enjoy, It’s Friday. Frida Sundemo comes to us from Sweden, bringing with her chill synth vibes cooler than a Swedish winter. The track itself, Gold, kicks off with a spacey, single note, building in from the silence. From there, the vocals kick in. The singing is subdued, but still finds a power in its own right. There’s a lot of emotion, somewhere between melancholy and hope. It’s a different sort of vocal power, less Etta James and more Simon and Garfunkel. This is definitely, in my eyes, the highlight of the track. The beat is a bit repetitive, repeating the same synth groove through the track without much build, but it works with the song. It makes a great background to the singing (can you tell I like them?). It’s a damn good track, perfect for a drive in the rain or when you're in a sad jam sort of mood and need to start building yourself up again.
But as always, don’t take my word for it, check out the track. Enjoy!<<
